Lake Cities VBS
We feel so blessed that the Lord has led us to Lake Cities. We have met some really good friends (normal people) and have been fed from The Word of God on a weekly basis. Everyone has made us feel like we are right at home from the very beginning. Over that past year, Mark and I have realized that we are not the ones in control of our lives. It has taken some major life changing experiences to help us see that. Just when we thought that "we" had it all figured out, God pulled the table cloth right out from under us! Lukely at the time we had some really good friends to come along side of us and see us through our rocky road. We feel that this time has helped us to grow spiritually and grow closer as a family and couple. The verse that always seems to fit with our life circumstance is Jeremiah 29:11.
In the first picture Ethan is telling Ms. Angie that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. It was a very touching moment for me. Both of the boys have really enjoyed VBS and were very excited each night when it was time to go back. Ashton was making knots that were to represent a fishing net. Precher Joel relieved me of my crying baby at one point so I could have a break. Of course, he put her to sleep... Yea, to Joel.

Texas Rain

Ashton, Bradley and Cody had a blast today in the rain. They were riding their scooters and catching frogs. It was a boy thing. We can't get over all of this rain. It has rained everyday for a least a month. The first year that we lived here it rained 5 times in a year. We have not had to turn our sprinkler on for our yard. It has been hard for the boys to get their energy out. We have been very creative finding things to do in the rain.
