Cheetah has been "taped"

We kept finding Cheetah on the changing table and in the crib. I was talking about it at work one day and a friend told me to put tape upside down in the crib and changing table. This way when she gets up there she will "get taped" and will not want to do it again. Well, we taped everything last week and have been awaiting the day when she "gets taped". It has been pretty funny to hear us talk about it around the house, "honey, did Cheetah get taped today?"... well, the day has come. Mark is not here to enjoy the moment. The boys and I were in Ethan's room cleaning up and Cheetah came in sounding "scratchy"... she sat down and tried to see what she had gotten herself into.... the boys and I sure did enjoy the moment.... (this isn't pet abuse is it?)

Beth and I (and Anna Grace) got to go to the American Heart Association Heart Ball on Saturday night. Good thing they didn't charge the $250 for Anna Grace to come with us. It was a lot of fun to dress up and go out with my beautiful wife. Can't wait until we get to do it again.

Yard Work Tanner Style

Ethan and I spent some time Saturday afternoon working on the curb appeal of our house. Ethan loves to help!!

Parent's Book report

Ashton read Charlotte's Web and then watched the movie. Mom and Dad helped with the book report. Dad performed the technical aspects and Mom performed the creative aspects. WHAT A TEAM EFFORT!!!!

Anna Grace's room almost finished

I have really enjoyed getting her room ready. I never dreamed I would like a pink room. Her room is very soothing, I enjoy just sitting in there.

Baby Shower

I had a very nice shower at Jihan's house. We had a nice time and I was showered with love and lots of nice gifts.

Easter in Texas... you never know what to expect...

When we walked out of the house on Sat. morning to go to church for an easter egg hunt.... IT WAS SNOWING>>> We had a good time. Ethan was too worried about where the bunny was to hunt for eggs.

Anna Grace's Room

Finally, Anna Grace has a painted room. I did the pink top and darker pink bottom last weekend, and the ric rac middle this weekend.... While I was painting, I kept saying, "not bad for someone with a disability"... Ethan would come in to "help" and he would say "that's pretty mom", "wow, good job, Mom"... he was so encouraging. The ric rac was pretty time consuming, but once it was finished, it was worth it. It is really girly!!!

Easter Cookie Making

Last Sat. while Mark was working the boys and I made sugar cookies and decorated them for Easter... We all had a blast

Ashton has been really enjoying soccer. And boy does it require alot of energy! He usually plays defense, but when his team scores he really celebrates!

Ashton's Report Card

UNBELIEVABLE.... Ashton's got his report card today. This year has been so good for his self-esteem in school. What an absolutely incredible teacher he has had this year..... Can you believe Ashton is making straight A's. We know he is very smart, but, in years past he has not applied him self or his behavior has gotten in the way. He also made a score of "commended" on his TAK's test. We are very proud of how well he is doing. :-)

Date night

Mark and I had date night on Sat. night. We went to dinner in South Lake and shopped at town center for a while and walked around. We ended up at Grapevine Mills mall looking for a maternity belt for my poor hips. We always end up going shopping on date night. I am not sure how that happens.

Fishing at Bear Creek Park

They stocked the pond at this park a few weeks ago. Last weekend I took the boys there to feed the ducks while Mark was at work and people were catching trout like crazy. We deciede to take the boys there this Sat. and we did not catch anything. It was a little too cool for the fish. Ethan would not fish, he was too worried about the ducks getting him.

Ethan wrote all of his Valentines day cards. He sat there for about 45 minutes to do 8 cards. He was very intense.

The many places we find Cheetah....

Cheetah follows us from room to room. She has to be where ever we are. She always finds the hightest place in the house to sit. She told me the other day that she is ready to be a Carolina Girl again.....

MOM'S BIRTHDAY

My beautiful wife and our handsome boy's on Mommy's birthday. can you believe that next year we will add yet another beautiful child in to this world. I hope she looks just like her mother. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETH!!!! What does that make you..... 29.

Snow.......

I really don't know what to say.... We could not believe what was falling from the sky this afternoon. The flakes were so big and beautiful. Anyone that you talk too that is from this area say that this is very unusual. The boys loved it. I made hot cocoa for them when they were finished and we sat by the fireplace.
