Teeth falling out everywhere!

I was in the front of the house and I hear Ashton yelling, "Mom, I pulled my tooth". I have never been able to pull any of his teeth, he pulls them himself.

Ashton's christmas money

Ashton is really into Legos. He can spend hours on putting together a new lego. This lego is one that he bought in exchange for a gift from Mama and Papa.

Monkey see monkey do....

How is it that he knew just how to put this on his ear.???

Ethan loves his scooter

Ethan tries his best to keep up with his brother. He tries really hard to do a wheelie on his scooter.

XGames Tanner style

Ashton has no fear!!! He is always up for the biggest and baddest stunt possible. He can really get some air.

CONFESSION

I have a confession to make: we were talking over dinner and I realized that I failed to blog that while at work today, I went sledriding. First thing this morning someone made the suggestion that we get a cafeteria tray and slide down the hill where EMS comes in. Well, not long after that there were several of us outside having a blast! There wasn't any traffic yet so it was not dangerous yet. We had fun until security caught us. They take the fun out of everything!

Snow once again in Texas

When we moved to Texas, one of our new friends told us that we would not need winter jackets here. Well, I won't mention any names "Amy", but you were wrong. I have worn my winter jacket more over the past week than I would have in 5 years in South Carolina. When I went outside this morning, I couldn't believe my eyes. God blessed us once again with that WHITE STUFF.... I think it is called snow! I got in my car at 6:30 am and had a 7am case in the OR. Needless to say, I did not make it to work on time. It took me 1 hour and wow... those cowboys in their big old pickups, think that they own the road! School was cancelled which meant that Mark and the boys were going to be going outside to have a blast in the snow. I remembered that we had a snow tube in the attic that Aunt Donna bought the boys years ago. They had a blast with it. Mark said that the kids on the street ganged up on him and were throwing snowballs at him. It was great fun for all. It is nice but I will take 90 degrees over 30 degrees anyday!!

32degrees in Texas. We got up, got ready for church and realized that it was sleeting outside. It is not to get about 32 degrees all day. These are pictures of what we did on this cold day. Ashton did some reading, legos and playstation. Ethan played legos with Ashton and then wanted to paint. Mark did his usual laundry and I decided to paint the boys bathroom. Cheetah is the only one trying to get out of the house today.

Christmas Morning 2006

Ethan set out carrots for the reindeer. He was upset that they did not eat ALL of the carrots. Our house woke up really early this morning. I think Ashton was up going to the bathroom around 6am. He came into our room at around 7am. I told him it was too early to go back to bed. Ethan was up not long after that. We couldn't hold them back any longer. Ashton, of course was like a bull in a china closet. We had to take a break from opening gifs to get breakfast and medication. They were both very excited about every gift that they opened. Every time Ethan opened a gift he would say, " this is just what I wanted". He is not hard to please. Ashton was happy with everything that he received. The rollerblades and ramp are probably his favorite.

Christmas Eve 2006

Christmas Eve: We enjoyed a wonderful church service at Fellowship church. Mark and I were truely amazed at the wonderful production of this church. Our thoughts were why go to a church that is trying to be like Fellowship Church when you can go to the church that is setting the standards for churches in our community. It was a wonderful experience! We went to the Coopers for the evening and played a few games and ate taco soup.

Who bought him this????

Ashton got a paintball gun for his birthday. When he opened it, he thought that it was a bb gun. He was really excited when he realized what it was. Of course he has to be supervised to use it. They have had a good time with it.

Ashton's 9th Birthday

Wow, how time flies. I can remember back on that December evening when I went into labor. Ashton has really matured this year. He is making all A's and received an E for conduct....(was the teacher sleeping when she did that). He is really good with Ethan and they love each other very much.

Santa 2006

We went to my work to see Santa and Mrs. Before we left the house Ethan was having a fit because he did not want to see Santa. In order to shut him up, I told him that he could stay in the car. When we arrived at my work, Ethan proceeded to tell me, "I'll wait here" as he held onto his car seat. He was very serious. He did not want to see Santa. Ashton informed Santa of what Ethan wanted and gave his own list as well. I really thought that last year would be our last year for Ashton to "believe", I was wrong. He still believes, he did ask some good questions, but I think that I satisfied him for now. Ethan did like the Mrs.

Our little Miracle

We all know how awsome God is... and how great of a sense of humor that he has... WELL, through everything in our lives over the past 4 months, God once again is telling us that he is the one in control, not us. We all so often give God our troubles one minute and the next minute we start worrying or obsessing over them and then find ourselves giving it back to God. Mark and I always seem to learn things the hard way. About 4 weeks ago I was sick "in bed" with what I thought was a "stomach virus". After being sick for 8 days, I went to the doctor. He was puzzled by my description of my discomfort. He told me to take some laxatives over the weekend to see if I could flush the virus out of my system and if I wasn't better my Tues. to call and come back. Well, I was no better by Tues. I had nausea, fatigue and unable to get out of bed. I went back to the doctor and had an appt. with his partner. She listened to my symptoms and said that she was going to order a gallbladder ultrasound and some GI work. Then she proceed to ask me some personal questions and I explained to her that I could not be pregnant because Mark had a vasetomy over the summer. She proceeded to tell me that we should do a pregnancy test just to make sure. I agreed and laughed at her as she left the room. She returned shortly after with a huge grin on her face, I felt this over whelmimg heat flash over my body and I felt like I was going to pass out. I knew what she was going to say before she said it. I proceeded to tell her that, this is not funny and not to be joking with me. She wasn't joking... we have a little miracle baby on the way. Wow, I feel too old for this. We know that God has his hand in our lives and he is going to take care of us through this time. I am 10 weeks 2 days today. I am now medicated for my nausea day and night. Please pray that this will end soon so that I can see and feel the joy of this miracle in our lives.

The day after.....

The "mansion" continues..... We had a great visit from Marks family who live in East Texas. The kids had a nice time playing together. They just all do not like to get their pictures taken.

Thanksgiving 2006 We have so much to be thankful for!

We are so thankful that MaMa and PaPa are able to come and spend Thanksgiving with us. Ashton and Papa have been building a "mansion" out of cardboard boxes in the backyard. Ethan is always in the kitchen wanting to help cook and lick the spoons.
